Because I like to post lists and my new calendar hasn't arrived yet for me to write these things down on for specific days. Also, I need a planner. No, this isn't a New Years resolution thing. This is a thing that I've been steadily working on since I started schooling for Massage Therapy, but haven't been very good about keeping on top of. I need reminders for things like this. >>

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...been a while since I posted. Still want my Marine back, but I've more or less accepted that THAT isn't going to happen. At least not until both of us are out of school. *sadface* But we're still best friends and next to Benny, he's the closest I've ever been to a guy as just friends that isn't gay.

Got my job back at Petco so I'm not AS "OMGFUCKSHITDAMNSTUDENTLOANGASPRICESWEDDINGINAUSTRALIAHOWTHEHELLFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK" as I have been. X3

Oh! I've started patterning amigurumis. So far I've got a completed alien (Pupu from FF8 ) and am working on a budge dog (Pero-pero from Kare Kano: His and Her Circumstance). wannaseemymask is my pattern tester. She's testing the alien pattern for me and once it gets the Nerd-Tastic STAMP OF APPROVAL I'll be posting it for free use. Probably here. Unless Vinny and I ever get around to designing out own website. Which we probably won't since we both fail at web design. XD I'm aiming to have a new pattern out every month this year. Wish me luck!

( Pattern a Month Project List )

One of my New Years goals included finishing 3 new cosplays and 2 new steampunk outfits. Since I came to that decision I was approached by a friend to see if I would like to help one of her friends out with being a model. Her friend is a very good photographer looking to expand his portfolio and he needed models. Well I also would like to expand my portfolio so I agreed. We've been talking about what the theme of our shoot would be. If I would wear one of my costumes and so on.

Which made me think, I still haven't gotten any good pictures of my Cho Ryung costume. The corset and arm bands need to be fixed up, but otherwise its one of my better costumes I think. And I still want to get more pictures in my Lydia costume since that's just fun to wear. There's also my Little Sister costume, which I need to build my ADAM gun for. But the biggy that I want to get better pictures of is Jenova. There's some things, like Cho, that I need to tweak before this can happen. But I put so much into that costume and wannaseemymask put in a lot of painting hours. And there's so much painting just for my skin. I can't just NOT wear that costume ever again. It would be such a waste!

So, more photoshoots this year is a must!

So I've noticed a lot of photo challenges cropping up in the past few months and I liked the principle behind the 365 photo challenges. But there really wasn't one that caught my interest. Until onnawufei started doing the 365 Self Portrait challenge. I really liked this idea, but was too busy with school starting and the holidays to really commit to anything. The more I thought about it however, the more I wanted to do it. So I decided I would wait until the 1st and then I would start. The first came, I took my first picture and then I realized, I really don't want to post a picture EVERY day. There had to be a better system! So I've decided that I will still take my daily picture of myself. But I will wait to post them till the end of the month. That way my flist here won't be flooded with pictures all the time. I'll probably also be posting the pictures once a month on my facebook. But that's irrelevant.

So, challenge accepted! 365 days 365 photos of yours truly. I'm either gonna hate myself by the end of the year or have a new found love of myself. XD

Hey flist! Guess what? It’s that time of year again where I make my annual list of Pros and Cons for the exiting year! Now, I know I put a lot of expectations on 2010. What 10 being my lucky number and the Chinese year being the year of the White Tiger, which is my favorite animal. But, personally, I don’t think the year left me all that wanting. <3

Pros:

+ Pat found me, and I do mean that literally. He recognized me from 1^st grade at a 48 hour film project and has made my whole world brighter for it.

+ Judges choice award for Jenova and GLaDOS with Vinny (the ‘we’ in most of my Pros)

+ Was able to snag a second job

+ Associates of Arts degree (FINALLY)

+ Eldest brother got engaged to be married (FINALLY)

+ Multiple cosplay photoshoots with Yuffie as our amazing photographer

+ Lady Gaga concert

+ Accepted into Everest College for Massage Therapy

+ Four Cons/Expos in one year. O_O Still not sure how we managed that

+ Karaoke at the Old Town Bistro first with DJ Z and now with DJ Traxxx

+ Steamcon 2, one of those four amazing Cons we attended this year but it gets a slot all by it’s onesome!

Cons:

+ 7 some-odd hours in the ER at the start of the year -_-

+ Brian broke it off with me a few months shy of Sakura Con and not that long after I recovered from the ER incident (bet you didn’t think of THAT did ya?)

+ Jobless and near broke for the last month of the year

+ New found school debt

 

….I’m having a real hard time thinking of any Cons. XD For me at least, 2010 was a pretty damn good year. Can’t wait to see what 2011 will bring!

Resolutions, or goals this year are new costumes, Massage Therapy license, got a job (isn't that always the goal when you don't have one though?)

That time of year again and I seriously am having a hard time figuring out where the time has gone. X3 Holidays have been a bit odd around here. Not bad, just odd. X3 Like, most of our bigger decorations aren't put up because we either couldn't find them or my brother didn't feel like climbing on the roof. Or our stack of Christmas CDs that we've literally had since I was born, so I've never gone a Christmas without them, have vanished (which Mom just walked in and told me she found them the day AFTER Christmas, naturally XD). Me not having a job this holiday season so I was unable to do any Christmas shopping so I had to resort to other methods of gift exchange.

But there's a chance I can get my old job back...maybe...I'm gonna check my other options first before I do that. I seriously loved my job, there was just two individuals that I DIDN'T love working with. Anyways, fingers crossed I've got a job again real soon!

Now onto my loot list....which will go under a cut for those that don't care. X3

Onward to 2011!!! In which my goals are to get licensed in Massage Therapy (slated to graduated on September 15th), finish 3 new cosplays and 2 new Steampunk outfits, attend Sakura Con and Steamcon III, expand Ladies of Science Nerd-Tastic Emporium, and smother my friends and boyfriend with love! Reasonable I think. ^^

Pat wins. I pretty much lost it I was so giddy.

So for the past three years, since I really started posting in my LJ, I've posted a Turkey Day Food Coma type post. Where I'm usually complaining that foods not ready yet, I'm hungry and all the stuff I'm thankful for. Well, there's quite a bit I'm thankful for at the moment, and the big one is only just come about in the past few days. I'm gonna wait till the first week of December before I say anything however. ^_~ Wanna make sure everything pans out the way it's supposed too. Those who already know I ask you keep it on the down low until I'm ready to make a full blown, super loud and glitter coated announcement. ^^

Can't eat until 3, boyfriend won't be here till about 2:30. Family is running about which means Cali is hiding in my room. I work tomorrow for Black Friday. o_o But I need the hours and the added (hopefully) commission that the day should bring. So I'll just pull on my big girl panties and deal. X3
